Michelle Obama does Ebony

In the September issue of Ebony Magazine, Michelle Obama discussed her marriage, fashion sense and how she balances motherhood and work. Her best accessory? Barack Obama.

“Barack and I — as partners, as friends and as lovers — we accessorize each other in many ways, the best thing I love having on me is Barack on my arm and vice versa, whether it’s having him standing there smiling at me, or watching him mesmerize a crowd or talk to some seniors in a senior center.”

Should she become first lady, Michelle Obama says her primary focus will be on their two daughters — Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7.

“My first job in all honesty is going to continue to be mom-in-chief, making sure that in this transition, which will be even more of a transition for the girls … that they are settled and that they know they will continue to be the center of our universe.”

The issue hits newsstands nationwide on Aug. 12.

Rick Ross Response to Cop Rumors

South Florida rappers Rick Ross and Trick Daddy are beefing over an accusation Trick Daddy made that could adversely affect Rick’s career.

According to Trick Daddy, Ross was once a corrections officer in South Florida. Not so says Ross, who claims a photo circulating the Internets of him wearing a corrections uniform is a Photoshopped fake. I believe Rick. The photo looks like his high school picture was Photoshopped on someone else’s body (note the curly hair that doesn’t match Ross’s hair texture).

As you know, rappers rely on their (real or assumed) street cred to sell records. The harder they appear (on paper) the more records they sell — or at least that’s what they believe. So being affiliated with law enforcement in any way is like career suicide to a rapper. Rappers take accusations like that seriously.
